January 15, 2007: I'm Gonna Nudge Your World Season 1, Episode 13

To me, this episode of The Class was right up there with the stripper pole as the funniest episode of the season. The set-up was a bit long and really, the whole Kat dating this mystery man story line better lead to something good because if it doesn't, I would have rather seen 10 more minutes of "hitting it." But, once again Richie and Lina stole the show. I can't believe all of the mean things Fern said to Richie about his sexual prowess. She told him she was "wildly under whelmed," and on multiple occasions he heard "stop that!" I love when Richie was talking to Duncan about Fern and told him that sometimes during sex she would ask, "Are you going to call the plumber or am I? And then sometimes she'd call the plumber." I can't believe any person would stay with this woman for as long as Richie did. That's absurd. I guess its good he's got Lina then, as she seems to be quite understanding about everything and is really giving him a fresh start. The dialog between the two of them in the last 5 minutes of the show almost made me pee myself. Between Lina putting her finger up and boldly stating "you don't scare me with your bad sex", or following it up with "I can't wait for you to disappoint me all night long", I was on the floor. And the final line from Richie, "I'm gonna nudge your world." Ha! You can't imagine how many times I've said that, so it really hits home. Also, don't you just love scenes with Mrs. Carmello? We need to see her more. And we need to see more of the way Duncan gets so upset every time ma is on the line listening in (which is always). Since characters are being tweaked now, how about we focus on these two more often Mr. Crane? To me, Duncan and his mother have the best chemistry between them, right after Richie and Lina. After last week's show, this was an awesome way to bounce back. I just hope that up against the season premiere of 24 and The Golden Globe Awards that some of you actually watched it. Side note: Did you happen to pick up the line Kyle said to Ethan while they were watching the Sixers game? "How many does Iverson have?" (Note to self: If I ever produce a sitcom and the local NBA star that's being mentioned gets run out of town after shooting has completed, reshoot the scene.) Until next week, friends. show less
