Darlene Conley Spoils B&B from the Great Beyond

Darlene Conley by Robert Voets/CBS, Ronn Moss by Cliff Lipson/CBS

If you believe in this stuff — and I do — the late Darlene Conley will come through in a psychic reading on WE's John Edward Cross Country. It happens Oct. 27 when Edward conducts a session with Ronn Moss, Conley's longtime costar on CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful (he plays Ridge; she was the flamboyant Sally). The actress, who died of cancer last January, was close pals with Moss and, in the episode, he talks about getting the call that she was near death and praying she'd wait until he could see her one last time. "And she did," Moss tells Edward. "I walked in and about four minutes later, after I was with her alone, she died in my arms. I felt her pass through me. It was an amazing feeling." A curious note: In tribute to Conley, B&B has kept Sally alive off screen but, in the reading with Edward, Conley claims that'll change and lead to a great story line. A B&B rep tells me Sally will be seen Nov. 1 in flashbacks that coincide with a nifty plot twist, but says... read more

Bold Move: Papa Logan Returns with a Bang

The Bold and the Beautiful courtesy of Cliff Lipson/CBS

He was a prime suspect in the famous "Who Shot J.R.?" plot on Dallas. Now Patrick Duffy is returning to CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful for another big shooting. His character, gadabout dad Stephen Logan, will be paged back to town in November by his daughter Donna (Jennifer Gareis). "The Logan clan is being horribly abused by Stephanie Forrester [Susan Flannery] and Donna wants her father to stir the pot," says exec producer Brad Bell. Stephen has no idea that his eldest daughter, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), was recently raped or that sicko Stephanie had a hand in it. So expect fireworks. "For years this family has been ashamed to be Logans," Bell notes. "Now they're going to rise up proudly and combat this oppressive woman." Can we safely assume it's Steph who takes the bullet? Bell is mum except to say, "It's a shocker." — Reporting by Michael Logan read more

Soap Opera Vet Sean Kanan Nabbed for Second DUI

Sean Kanan by John Sciulli/WireImage.com

Not 24 hours after news of General Hospital starlet Kirsten Storms' own DUI arrest broke, TMZ is reporting that daytime-TV journeyman and onetime Karate Kid nemesis Sean Kanan was busted on August 18 by the LAPD, on suspicion of driving under the influence. Kanan, whose soap resume includes turns as The Bold and the Beautiful's Deacon Sharpe and GH's alcoholic A.J. Quartermaine, posted $30,000 bail after being charged with two counts, including driving with a blood alcohol level of .08-plus. Due back in court on Monday, he faces a max of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine, per count. This being Kanan's second DUI offense (the first came in '98), it carries a minimum jail stint of 96 hours. A spokesperson for Kanan had no comment to TMZ. read more

Halloween Vlog Fest Scares Up New-Media Tricks 'N' Treats!

Smashface Productions' Zadi Diaz with celeb vlogger Dan McVicar at the Halloween Vlog Fest

This past Saturday, about a hundred members of the "vlogging" (that's video plus blogging) community gathered in Santa Monica to partake in the second-annual Halloween Vlog Fest, cosponsored by TV Guide and Yahoo!. The West Coast Yahoo! campus offices were transformed from their regular corporate look into a festive Halloween-themed party complete with cobwebs, black and orange balloons, fake (phew!) spiders, and a tombstone that curiously kept falling over during the early parts of the evening. (Hmm, paging Jennifer Love Hewitt?) There was also plenty of Halloween candy, but guests seemed more interested in the black-and-white fortune cookies provided by Chin Chin, a popular L.A. eatery that catered the gala with spring rolls, noodles in peanut sauce, and its famous Chinese chicken salad. New-media producers Steve Woolf and Zadi Diaz of read more

Ever since The Young and the Restless...

Ever since The Young and the Restless wrapped the Tom Fisher murder case, Ted Shackelford — aka Genoa City prosecutor Will Bardwell — has been MIA. No worries, though. The Knots Landing grad returns when Will is needed to tackle legal issues that arise from Jabot Cosmetics selling tainted moisturizer.

Side note: Since Y&R and The Bold and the Beautiful both tape at L.A.'s CBS Television City, Shackelford is sure to run into Patrick Duffy, who played his brother on Dallas. It's Gary and Bobby, together again! (Just to refresh your memory, Duffy has been cast as Brooke's father on B&B.) read more

Now Patrick Duffy fans don't have...

Now Patrick Duffy fans don't have to settle for watching his daily Dallas reruns on SoapNet. The artist formerly known as Bobby Ewing reported to the Bold and the Beautiful set this week to start playing the contract role of Brooke's father, Stephen Logan. (The part was previously played by Robert Pine.) Duffy — who first airs on April 18 — isn't the first big Dallas alum to do B&B. Last year Linda Gray (aka Sue Ellen) played Priscilla, the meddling mother of Sydney Penny's Samantha. read more

Bold and the Beautiful star Jack...

Jack Wagner, The Bold and the Beautiful with soap fan Cookie Sheehey

Bold and the Beautiful star Jack Wagner (Nick) was the big winner during Wheel of Fortune's Soap Stars Week. Solving Vanna's puzzles like a pro, he scored $142,550 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of his brother, Dennis, who is currently in remission with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. In so doing, Wagner not only did a really good deed, he won the most cash any celebrity contestant has ever won on Wheel. Nice going, Jack!

"I was fortunate to be involved in this unique and magical moment on Wheel of Fortune," Wagner told TVGuide.com via e-mail. "I hope and pray that my brother can be an inspiration to families and patients who suffer from this illness."

Last week's second-biggest winner was Days of read more

Premise: The high-glam soap about L.A.'s fashionable and fertile Forrester clan was designed as a sister soap to the popular 'The Young and the Restless,' and quickly won ratings and global fans with cast crossovers, exotic remotes, glossy runaway shows and fast-paced storylines about beautiful people behaving badly. In 2004, the show introduced a new family, the Marones, and recruited several nighttime alums to beef up the cast. And to create a little chaos.
