The Biggest Loser Episode Recap: Week 4 Season 10, Episode 4

Welcome to Week 4. Before we begin, I have to ask: Does anyone else miss singing along to the old opening? "What have you done today..." It's catchy.

The episode begins with a temptation challenge filled with tons of cupcakes. Alison, always the bearer of bad news, tells the players that there will be both a yellow line and a red line at the weigh-in. Fall below the red, and you're automatically out.

The prize for winning the challenge is a 1-pound advantage. But there's a twist. Every week you keep the reward without using it, the advantage grows. Only a few of the players participate in the challenge and as they eat, they get clues to where the magic reward is hiding. Adam finds it first and wins the advantage. Elizabeth immediately starts crying and is upset she ate a cupcake and it wasn't even worth it.

Chef Curtis Stone joins the contestants and shows them how to make healthier treats. A cupcake with only 100 calories? Yes, please.

After a workout that results in Lisa almost puking and Mark getting injured, it's time for the weigh-in:

Mark loses 8 pounds, 2.17 percent
Elizabeth loses 6 pounds, 2.62 percent
Patrick loses 10 pounds, 2.73 percent
Lisa loses 7 pounds, 2.63 percent
Aaron loses 12 pounds, 2.78 percent
Rick loses 9 pounds, 2.94 percent
Jesse loses 8 pounds, 2.43 percent
Burgandy loses 5 pounds, 2.29 percent
Ada loses 10 pounds, 4.27 percent
Jessica loses 7 pounds, 2.68 percent
Brendan loses 11 pounds, 3.37 percent
Frado
loses 20 pounds,5.93 percent
Adam loses 10 pounds, 2.81 percent
Sophia
loses 2 pounds, .79 percent

Sophia is immediately going home.

At the next workout, Jillian focuses on Ada. I'm not sure why she's picking on her, but Jill soon learns that Ada feels worthless because that's how her parents made her feel. It's a sad story about how her brother drowned.

Bob has everyone below the yellow line join him at his house to see how he eats. Nice digs, Bob. Lisa admits she has pizza at home because it's cheap, but Bob says it's her responsibility to teach her children healthy eating.

At the final challenge, Burgandy is sidelined due to an injury. Frado, who came out of the weigh-in on top, gets to save one person and chooses Jessica. The rest of those up for elimination compete against each other in a competition of unrolling a ridiculously long carpet. Mark, Lisa and Jesse are safe and since Elizabeth comes in last, she'll face Burgandy in the elimination.

After the votes are revealed, Burgandy is sent packing. So where are she and Sophia now? Doing great! Sophia was 272 pounds and now she weighs in at 225. She's still teaching cheer squad and also a spin instructor. Burgandy looks fabulous and has gone from 231 pounds to 180 pounds.

Do you think the right person was voted out?

Premise: Popular reality fare about overweight people competing to drop pounds. Divided initially into teams, the contestants are aided (and bullied) by trainers and must participate in physical reward challenges. At the end of each episode, there's a weigh-in that helps determine who is sent packing.
