The Biggest Loser: Families Episode Recap: "Week 10" Season 6, Episode 12

We're getting closer to the finale and Black's chance at taking the prize seems dimmer each week. After a tearful goodbye to Coleen, Michelle and Renee are upset and frustrated. They feel, and so do I, that Amy made a huge mistake in sending her home. As Michelle said, she handed Vicky to them on a silver platter and now it may be too late to get her out. Jillian is also pretty sure that this is going to backfire on Amy but regardless, it's currently 4 vs. 2 and the numbers are not in team Black's favor.

We all know that Thanksgiving and football go hand and hand so this week, the NFL came to The Biggest Loser: Families. Jerry Rice and Steve Young were on board to make the contestants go through the same drills the players do. They were also going to time them down the combine with the winner getting a pretty nice prize. NFL Play 60 agreed to give the winner $5,000 to donate to the school of their choice and Rice and Young offered to give another $5,000. Vicky, always playing the game, had a sneaking suspicion of just how this challenge would be measured. So she decided to play it slow and fly under the radar. Once they announced that they'd have to do the obstacle course again, with the person that beats their own time the most as the winner, she knew she had it in the bag. Well-played. Everyone was able to beat their times, even if only by a few seconds, and Vicky won. She was very happy to give back to her community, especially since childhood obesity hits close to home for her.

This week's challenge continued with the NFL theme. As footballs were launched in their direction, the contestants had to run across the field and put the balls in their opponent's rack. Vicky immediately told Amy to take out black, as if it were even a question. The prize this time around was pretty sweet — tickets to the Pro-bowl, hotel, VIP parties, and all in Hawaii. Each person even got to don a jersey with their number representing how many pounds they've lost. Another bonus was that every time they actually caught the football, they won 500 bucks. Ed seemed to only focus on this aspect and when he finally caught one, he was pretty funny about it. "When that perfectly arched ball was coming into my hands I just totally knew that...Heba had already spent that money as soon as it touched my hands." With everyone out to get Michelle, she was the first to be eliminated. Next was Renee. And then came the low-blow move of the night. While Vicky had the chance to finish Ed off, she instead gave her ball to Amy. At that moment it became pretty clear that they hadn't exactly patched things up. The challenge came down to Heba and Vicky with Vicky taking the prize.

Rocco's back! Don't we all just love a little Rocco? He came to cook a traditional thanksgiving dinner, and after tempting them with the good stuff, explained that he'd be making the dishes' healthy alter egos. So we got some turkey breast rolled with herbs and then poached, turkey sausage stuffing with Ezekiel bread and apple crumble made with granola. It all seemed pretty appetizing to me, and not just because of the sexy chef who was cooking it. After enjoying a nice meal, Rocco gave out his book and jerseys from each player's hometown NFL teams. Vicky then said the best thing I've heard her say all season —that she was happy to be wearing Reggie Bush! To make the night even more special, Rocco provided everyone with videos from home. They were emotional as usual but it's always nice to see the support of everyone's loved ones.

The last chance workout was pretty status quo except for a little cattiness. Blue made sure to comment, "It would be so nice and quiet in this gym if we got rid of those 2 girls." Jillian didn't like immaturity and said she couldn't stand when the contestants turn into bullies. "The only bully in the house is me."

Here's how the weigh-in went:
Amy- lost 5 for a total of 2.89%
Heba- lost 7 for a total of 3.03%
Ed- lost 9 for a total of 3.44%
Vicky- lost 7 for a total of 3.74%
Renee- lost 8 for a total of 3.86%
Michelle- lost 10 for a total of 5.38%

Way to go Renee and Michelle! This left Amy and Heba at the bottom and we all knew what would happen next. Ed voted Amy, Michelle voted Heba and Renee voted Heba. If Vicky were to vote Heba, she'd be out, but if she voted for Amy it would create a tie in which case Amy would be gone due to having the lowest percentage. Unfortunately keeping Vicky bit her in the bottom because Vicky was the ultimate vote to send her packing.

At elimination, Alison announced that the contestants were heading to New York City for a whirlwind makeover. Can't wait to see how they look! Meanwhile, Amy had her own makeover upon returning home and looked gorgeous. She's gone from a size 22 to size 8 and has gained the confidence to start singing in public. Can't wait to see her and her mom at the finale!

Who's got their picks for final four? Will Vicky slide on through? Comment away!
