Episode 4 Recap Season 4, Episode 4

All that anticipation built up from last week to see the huge game-changing twist and we still have no answers. Well, we do know that the campus will be closing, and the dorms, kitchen, and gym will be off-limits, but now what? It was really touching how building self-confidence seemed to be the running theme tonight. I think it's amazing that the trainers not only teach a healthy lifestyle but also push their contestants to believe in themselves so they can make that change. I mean, anyone can tell you that eating fast food every day isn't going to help you lose weight, but when an overweight person with low self-esteem is forced to say "I'm worth it" over and over, it hits home much harder. That's something that can be applied to anything you want in life: Just believe you can do it, right? I love Biggest Loser for being my guilty-pleasure show but also my feel-good show! Speaking of the trainers, it's also fun to see Bob, Kim and Jillian more involved this season - being at all the challenges and the weigh-ins. I don't think the Black and Red teams would have been able to run down that hill and back up with the flag as fast as they did without Jillian and Kim yelling at them along the way and literally pulling them to the finish line. It was very impressive that none of them even came close to eating a cupcake to score their team 15-second lead in the challenge. Please tell me those delicious-looking cupcakes didn't go to complete waste and a lucky cameraman or producer got to enjoy them. A few other thoughts: " Thanks to Bob for taking his team to Subway and showing how you can still eat healthily on a low budget. And for explaining the difference between red-wine vinegar and vinaigrette. That's something I am definitely going to keep in mind next time I'm at Subway (which I admit is at least twice a week since, well, it's healthy and cheap!) " Jillian cracked me up when the Black Team showed off clothes they weren't able to fit into before and pretended to get choked up before yelling, "No I'm not, shut up!" " I'm surprised and a bit disappointed we didn't get to see Bob's reaction to his team sending Jerry home. " Too bad the Blue Team lost another person two weeks in a row, but as always with other eliminated players, it was great to see Patty's success at home. Congrats to the Black Team for being the only team to still have all its teammates - I won't be surprised if the Biggest Loser ends up being one of them. So will we finally find out about this mysterious twist? Any more thoughts on what it could be? Check out clips from the show in our Online Video Guide. show less
