Episode 14 Recap Season 4, Episode 14

Let's hear it for the Black Team! Congratulations to Bill, Julie, Hollie and Isabeau. They've each worked tremendously hard and overcome so much to get here. It's pretty satisfying watching these four make it to the finale because they are what The Biggest Loser is all about. Jillian certainly has a lot to be proud of, she really helped change these people's lives. Not to say that Bob and Kim didn't because they certainly kick butt in their own ways. But Jillian kept that Black Team alive and kicking for 14 weeks straight and it was so great watching her push them to their limits and give them the confidence they needed. Seeing her emotional goodbyes with the remaining four was really touching, especially seeing them face the cut-outs of their former selves. And that folks, is what we call feel-good TV. What a difference a one-hour show versus a two-hour one makes, huh? When the weigh-in began tonight, my roommate and I both said, "Already?" at the same time. It had only been 23 minutes, which felt a little rushed, but at the same time I hate how many recaps and look-back slow-mo montages they show. Maybe next year the show should be an hour and half instead of dragging it out or speeding through. And maybe a few less Wrigley's Gum and Quaker's Oatmeal cameos. Just a thought. So I'm sure we all had the same thought when Julie stepped on that scale and lost eight pounds, therefore pushing Neil below the yellow line with Hollie: he's a goner! It's not that I wish ill thoughts upon Neil, I do commend his hard work to lose 165 pounds, and as Allison pointed out he lost double digits in nine out of 14 weeks. Of course, let's not forget one of those weeks he gained double digits. But it wasn't only that he played the game dirty and stabbed people in the back, he was just too arrogant for my taste and I wasn't too broken up over watching him leave campus. Apparently that feeling was mutual among the Black Team as not a single one of them got up to say bye to him. One more week and we'll finally know who the Biggest Loser is. There's a 75 percent chance it will be a girl which will be awesome since there has never been one. Bill could pull it off, but the odds are working against him. I won't be surprised if it's Isabeau. She already became the female who's lost the most pounds while on the show in BL history, I'm putting my money on her becoming the first female Biggest Loser. Any takers? Premise: Popular reality fare about overweight people competing to drop pounds. Divided initially into teams, the contestants are aided (and bullied) by trainers and must participate in physical reward challenges. At the end of each episode, there's a weigh-in that helps determine who is sent packing.
