Bachelor Pad's Melissa Rycroft: "The Drama is Unreal"

Melissa Rycroft

In 14 seasons of The Bachelor and six seasons of The Bachelorette, a few people fighting for the final rose have also been in the race for money and fame (see: Justin, the "Rated R" wrestler). So it was only a matter of time before producers turned one of reality TV's biggest dating shows into a competition for love AND money. Bachelor Pad, premiering Monday at 8/7c on ABC, brings 19 contestants back to see who will find chemistry, who will walk away with some extra cash, and who will choose love over money? Bachelor winner-turned-runner-up Melissa Rycroft, now married and expecting her first child, returns to the show as a co-host. She talked to TVGuide.com about how it was "awkward" going from contestant to host and the "unreal" drama coming up this season... read more

Question: I have recently discovered True Blood and spent the summer watching seasons 1 and 2. Alan Ball and company did all the right things to get me to invest completely in Bill and Sookie. So much so that now I physically hurt at the thought that things might not work out for them. (Kudos to them for getting that kind of response for fictional characters.) I know that things aren't following the books exactly, which is fine by me, since I haven't read them. However, I am getting a little worried about ... read more

Top Moments: TV's Accurate Portrayal of Love on Jersey Shore and The Bachelorette

The Jersey Shore, The Bachelorette

If there's one thing that TV gets right, it's the realistic depiction of romance — right? This week was like looking in a mirror. Vinny Chase began a not-so-chaste flirtation with a porn star on Entourage. Sookie protected her True Blood lover by staking his vampire maker. Mad Men's Don Draper treated his secretary like a whore. And, as the ballad of Angelina and Pauly D sounded its final mournful note, two sprightly young things named Ali and Roberto swept in to renew our faith in true love. Just like real life, but with better art direction! Welcome to Top Moments: Romantics and Cynics Edition.

The Bachelorette Episode Recap: The Finale

After weeks of fake wrestlers and love tattoos, we've finally made it to the finale! Will Ali choose Roberto, Chris L., or neither? We'll find out soon enough who, if anyone, will get the final rose.

Tonight begins with Ali's family meeting both of the guys. While at first it may seem Ali's parents and siblings would like Chris L. better because he had taken things slow, or like Roberto more because his feelings were strong right from the start, they end up liking both guys equally because, to simply put it, both guys are crazy for Ali. They can tell Roberto is crazy about Ali (and vice-versa), but they also know Chris L.'s feeling are true even if it took them a longer time to come to the surface. Well thanks for nothing, family! (Just kidding, kind of).

Bachelorette Ali Finds Love with Roberto

Ali Fedotowsky

In what might've actually been the most shocking rose ceremony yet—at least, in the sense that it only involved one suitor—on August 2, The Bachelorette's Ali Fedotowsky handed out her final bit of flora to insurance agent Roberto Martinez, who offered her an engagement ring in return. (In a first-time twist, Ali sent runner-up Chris Lambton home a day early, thus sparing him the humiliation of getting down on one knee in front of America for nothin'.) Here, Ali talks about the bloom of new love.

Bachelorette's Ali Already Has Ideas for Wedding

The Bachelorette

The newest Bachelorette couple may have just gotten engaged, but the bride already has one detail for her wedding decided: There will be yellow.

Bachelorette's Chris Harrison: Ali knew night one it was Roberto

"There will certainly be yellow in the wedding. Maybe a white dress with a splash of yellow ribbon," Ali Fedotowsky tells TVGuide.com.

Throughout the season, it was no secret what the 25-year-old's favorite color was — she even wore a flowy yellow gown during the final rose ceremony.

Bachelorette's Chris Harrison: Ali Knew the First Night It Was Roberto

Chris Harrison

In a surprising twist to the typical Bachelor and Bachelorette endings, Ali Fedotowsky only had one man show up to the final rose ceremony. She took a leap of faith, and Roberto, in turn, proposed. Host Chris Harrison calls that moment "lightning in a bottle" and tells TVGuide.com his advice for the new couple. Plus: Will runner-up Chris be the next Bachelor?

The Bachelorette Finale: Who Did Ali Choose?

Ali Fedotowsky

Spoiler Alert: Don't read this if you haven't yet seen the Bachelorette season finale.

After 10 rose ceremonies and the unexpected departure of two different suitors, Ali Fedotowsky's final choice was surprisingly easy for her: She avoided the customary dueling proposals and told Chris not to bother proposing, because she loved only Roberto.

Bachelorette Ali Makes Her Choice

Ali Fedotowsky

It's decision time for the Bachelorette and honestly, Ali Fedotowsky has her work cut out for her.
