The Bachelorette Episode Recap: Week 7 Season 8, Episode 7

Emily and the six remaining men are in Prague, just one week away from hometown dates! Who will get to take our Bachelorette home with him and who's getting left behind? Let's get to recapping.

The first one-on-one date of the week goes to Arie. The two walk around the city hand-in-hand, try some hot wine and share lots of kisses. But while everything looks perfect on the outside, Emily says she knows Arie is hiding something. Since Arie's past relationship with producer Cassie has become public, the show then cuts to an intro from Chris Harrison explaining what happened. We then see footage of Emily upset with Cassie that Arie was hiding it. "I feel stupid," Emily says, before Cassie explains that she didn't want to clout Emily's judgment with the fact that they dated. Emily just wishes she'd been told on Day 1 and wants Arie to be honest with her. Back to their date, Emily tries leading Arie to tell her, but he's not biting. Although it's the end of the conversation, we do find out that later (off-camera), Arie, Emily and Cassie had a chat and that the "relationship" was so brief that it didn't matter.  And that night we see that Arie and Emily have moved forward and are back to being lovey-dovey again, culminating in Arie telling Emily he's fallen in love with her!

John, aka "Wolfie," gets his first solo date of the season, and he and Emily explore the city, while Emily spouts random knowledge about Prague that producers clearly fed her. It's still a little awkward between the two, but John continues to open up during the evening portion of their date. After talking about past heartbreak and why he moves slowly, John says, "I'm not a starter; I'm a closer," before kissing her.

Doug, Sean and Chris have the unfortunate group date for the week and all the men are disappointed when they find out, especially when John comes back grinning from his date. Sean, meanwhile, decides he needs to see Emily and runs around the streets of Prague looking for her. He finally "finds" her and the two kiss and end up at a nearby bar. They share some alone time and an extremely steamy kiss on the street before parting ways.

The next day, the boys and Em take a horse-drawn carriage up to an gorgeous old castle. Once there, Doug gets some alone time, but it's super-awkward. Guy will barely touch her. As they walk back, Emily stops and tells Doug that she's been waiting for him to show some feelings toward her. He gives her a peck, but at that point it's way too late. "I'm fighting for you, but I don't feel like you're fighting for me," she says. Poor Doug is so confused when Emily then lets him go on the spot.

Sean and Chris are left and each have some time to spend with Emily. Sean is first and Emily tells him that she woke up smiling because of the night before. As they hold hands, Sean says she'll love his family. During Chris' alone time, he makes the misstep of immediately asking why he didn't get a one-on-one date. Fortunately, she assuages his insecurities by letting him kiss her.

At the end of the date, there's a rose to be handed out and Emily gives it to Sean and says it's a symbol of a person whose family she's ready to meet. Chris, needless to say, is pissed with a capital P.

Jef has the last date of the week and, again, it's spent exploring the town. Did all the guys have pretty much the same date? Emily and Jef buy some marionette puppets and decide to reenact their first meeting. Using the doll as a stand-in, Jef finds it easier to open up and tell Emily that he's in love with her. They pretty much drop the dolls and kiss. After, Jef talks about the family that Emily will meet and explains that his parents won't be around, but his siblings will be. He also mentions how much his family's approval matters, which intimidates Emily a tad, especially when he tells her he's broken up with girls because of his parents. But the date ends on a sweet note as the two lay on the floor, talking about their future, with Jef saying, "I want to date you so hard and marry the f--- out of you."

It's Rose Ceremony time and Chris is feeling really paranoid about how he acted on his date. He's even more nervous when Chris Harrison tells the guys that Emily has made up her mind and doesn't need a cocktail party. Chris walks outside, with tears in his eyes, worrying about his fate. Dude needs to calm down.

Emily tells the men she hopes they're not disappointed that she canceled the cocktail party and that because she had such great dates this week, any questions she had were answered. She then hands out the first rose to Jef, followed by Arie and lastly ... oh wait, Chris needs to talk to her! "I acted like a boy yesterday," he says with tears. "I should've been more respectful and I apologize for that...I really do believe in me and you." Did his final plea work? Yep. He too is getting a hometown date.

Are you surprised by Emily's choices?
