The Bachelorette Episode Recap: Week 2 Season 7, Episode 2

On this week's episode of The Bachelorette, a few lucky guys get to spend time with Ashley in Las Vegas. Many of the men also reveal their emotional pasts and Ashley falls deeper into Bentley's web of jerkiness. Plus: Does Jeff finally remove his mask? Keep reading to find out.

Host Chris Harrison presents the guys with the first date card, which goes to William. Ashley picks him up from the house, gives him a huge hug in front of the others, and they take off in their convertible. A quick trip on a private jet and they're in Las Vegas. The first stop on the date is to a cake shop where they taste some wedding cakes. Next they look at rings. Sense a theme? After ring shopping, the pair ends up at the chapel where Ashley walks down the aisle. They begin to recite vows and after William actually says his, Ashley decides maybe they should stop before anything becomes official. They share a kiss and Ashley admits it's her best first date ever. Sound familiar?

For the second half of the date, Ashley and William have dinner in the middle of the Bellagio fountain, which no one has ever done before. William reveals more about himself, including his aspirations to become a comedian and how his father died after struggling with alcoholism. The two bond as Ashley says that her dad was also an alcoholic. After Ash tells William that he has everything she's looking for, he gets the first rose of the week. They kiss to fans' applause.

Constantine, Ryan M., Chris, Ben F., Nick, Bentley, West, Lucas, Stephen, Blake, Matt and Ames have the next date, which is also in Vegas. They go into a theatre where the Jabbawockeez are performing and find out they'll be split into two groups and compete in a dance battler. The winning team remains on the date. It's "The Best Men" vs. "No Rhythm Nation" (great name by the way), and after both give relatively lackluster performances, "No Rhythm Nation" is deemed the winner. That night, the men and Ashley perform during the Jabbawockeez show. While the guys only get a few minutes on stage, Ashley takes the chance to film her audition tape for next season of Dancing with the Stars.

For the second part of the date, Ashley wants to spend a little one-on-one time with each of the guys. She first talks to Blake, her fellow dentist, and then West, who opens up about his wife's death. He explains that being on the show is a huge deal because he's ready to fall in love again. During Ashley's time with Bentley, he says he was nervous about not being chosen to stay around. She calls him insecure and tells him that if he feels something for her, he should stick around. He's completely playing her, as we see during his producer interviews, but he gets the rose. (I yell at my screen.)

Back at the house, the next date card comes and it's for Mickey and J.P. Only one of them will go to Vegas, and it's decided by the flip of the coin. Mickey wins and flies to meet his lady. During dinner, he tells Ashley about his mother's death (lots of emotional stories for first dates), and Ashley admits she's not sure how she's feeling. She pulls out a coin, the theme of their date, and lets it decide his and his awesomely luscious hair's fate. Lucky for him, it goes his way, although Ashley then says he was getting the rose regardless.

Everyone is back in L.A. for the cocktail hour and Ashley first talks to J.P. This time, the flip of the coin works in his favor and earns him a kiss. She also basically tells him he's guaranteed a rose. Jeff (aka Mr. Mask) finally gets a few minutes with Ashley on the staircase, and tells her about a brain hemorrhage he had and also his divorce. Just as he's about to take off the mask, he's interrupted by Matt. Next, Bentley takes his time with Ashley to "get down to it" as he says, and carries her in his arms to the fireplace. "Let's not talk," he says before pulling her in for a kiss. We then hear him talk about how much the smooch sucked and how he's not into Ashley at all. That makes it sad to hear Ashley's voiceover about how she has good radar, how he seems sincere and how her gut says to trust him. Too bad we don't.

After Ashley professes that she feels her husband is in the room, she hands out roses to West, Constantine, Ryan P., Ben C., Nick, Ames, Lucas, Jeff, Chris, Ben M. and Blake.

What did you think of the episode? Will Bentley reveal his true colors next week? And will Jeff reveal what's under his mask? Weigh in below.
