Thomas Dekker (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and Christian Bale (Terminator Salvation)
Christian Bale's John Connor can make as much noise as he wants at the Cineplex this weekend, but his TV counterpart, Thomas Dekker, has been silenced.
After two seasons, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles "has completed its run — and I think it had a nice little run," Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly told TVGuide.com when asked if boffo box office for Bale's Terminator Salvation (hitting theaters Friday) might make Fox reconsider the series' cancelation.
New hope for Terminator's return emerged over the weekend when Fox ...

Fox's official plan for the 2009-10 TV season includes good news for House and Bones fans: The two popular series are staying put on their respective nights. Dollhouse will remain in the Fridays-at-9 pm slot, where its new lead-in will be

No less than 45 scripted shows await word on renewal as the networks prepare to reveal their plans for the 2009-10 season. Many of those shows are safe — would NBC really pull Law & Order? — but others may be endangered by low ratings, high production costs, or just being on the Peacock network, where Jay Leno takes over five hours of prime time in the fall.
The senior editors of TVGuide.com hope the following shows will live. We chose them because we consider them the best of the shows that are in the worst danger. Make the jump to review our picks, then follow TV Guide on Twitter for updates on saved shows.

It turns out that Sarah Connor was the one in need of protection, and not her son John. And Dollhouse? Its engagements may not have proved engaging enough.
The future doesn't look bright for Fox's experiment in relaunching a 'Sci Fi Friday" lineup. Poor ratings make it increasingly likely that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be powered down for good, and Dollhouse boss Joss Whedon admits that Echo & Co. are about to be imprinted with a "FIRED" stamp.
The show's odds of renewal are "not very good," Whedon told SciFiWire.com. "Obviously our numbers are pretty soft ... but we live in hope. I'm really proud of the episodes that are coming out. More than that, I can't really ask."

After a group hug and some chamomile tea, the Connors resolve their differences with Cameron and Derek, and the four set off for the Bahamas for some quality downtime. Just kidding — Sarah ditches the wisdom of "united we stand, divided we fall" and takes John to see old pal Charley Dixon while keeping Derek and Cameron out of the loop. Unfortunately, trust issues with John's uncle and the lady terminator are the least of Sarah's problems.
