The ex-owner of a once-elegant Manhattan restaurant tries to save it after returning from France. Tattinger retools the eatery while trading barbs with his ex-wife (and co-owner) and looking out for his two daughters. The series was put on hiatus during the first season while producers changed the format to a half-hour sitcom called `Nick & Hillary.' That incarnation lasted for only two episodes before the series was canceled.
