After the sudden death of his mother, a boy finds solace in a fantasy world by reading a book called `The Neverending Story.' There, he follows the adventures of a boy trying to save the life of a princess, while in the real world, he deals with his difficult father, school bullies and an intimidating new teacher. The series was loosely based on a 1984 movie.
