Premise: Disaster-movie maven Irwin Allen produced this series, based on the shipwrecked-family classic by Johann Wyss, and the Robinsons did indeed have to put up with more than a few dramatic changes in the weather (not to mention earthquakes and volcanic eruptions). The 12-year-old Helen Hunt played a girl adopted by the Robinsons. That year (1976), a Canadian series based on the book, starring Chris Wiggins, aired in U.S. syndication.
