Ratings: Scandal Hits Finale High; Community, Parenthood Up

No one died in the explosion, but Scandal went out with a huge bang Thursday.

The Season 3 finale drew 10.5 million viewers and a 3.4 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, making it the show's most-watched and highest-rated season-ender yet. Scandal finished Season 3 up 39 percent in viewership and 43 percent in the demo. The episode followed Grey's Anatomy (8.1 million, 2.5), which was down a tenth.

Thursday TV: Meloni Tackles Comedy as Jack

I've barely adjusted to The Goldbergs mining the 1980s for comic nostalgia — seems not that long ago that Geraldo Rivera opened Al Capone's empty vault, and that's a subplot in an early April episode — and now comes Fox's Surviving Jack (Thursday, 9:30/8:30c), a coming-of-age family sitcom set in the not-so-distant past of the 1990s. Fox has announced the spring and summer premiere dates for So You Think You Can DanceKitchen Nightmares and more.

The dance competition debuts it's 11th season on Wednesday, May 28 at 8/7c.Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares returns Friday, April 11 at 9/8c when it checks back in on Amy's Baking Company. Ramsay's other reality shows, MasterChef andHotel Hell, will premiere Monday, May 19 at 8/7c and Monday, July 21 at 9/8c, respectively.
