    Cartoon Network launches the first part of its new "CN Real" block of reality programming tonight with the premiere of this spooky new series in which five teens armed with high-tech gear investigate creepy locations that are rumored to be haunted. Their first stop is the Lincoln Heights Jail in Los Angeles, which is said to house the spirits of dead prisoners. After each investigation, the team posts the findings on the show's Web site, and viewers can vote on whether or not they believe the place is truly haunted.

  • ABC Shuttles Sliding Suburbia and So-So Goode to Fridays | Today's News: Our Take | 6/5/2009

    Surviving Suburbia is barely living up to its name. After performing tepidly in its first Tuesday-at-9:30 try-out and then getting sidelined for a week with the promise of a return to that time slot, the Bob Saget series is being relocated to Fridays, starting June 12.

    Joining Suburbia for the move is its Tuesday lead-in, The Goode Family. The animated series has underperformed as well, collecting critical raspberries and mustering just 2.7 million viewers in its latest outing.

    First, some good news before the bad: July is less than a week away, and a month that once upon a time signified the absolute doldrums for TV fans now looms like an oasis of bountiful pleasures, with returning shows on the horizon including The Closer, Burn Notice, the Monk-Psych combo, and the piece de resistance of Mad Men's second season. (You’ll also want to add HBO’s gripping Generation Kill docudrama miniseries to your calendar.)
