Style & Substance on CBS

Chelsea Stevens is the well-meaning but ditzy star of a how-to home show. She's an expert cook and decorator whose demanding personality tends to aggravate her colleagues, particularly Jane, her high-strung office manager. CBS tried to milk the premise in 1998 with `The Simple Life,' about a superachieving lifestyle expert played by Judith Light. Neither series was anything to write home about.
