TV Guide Names the Top Cult Shows Ever

How much cult cachet does Jericho have?

Three years ago, TV Guide dared to compile a list of the Top 25 Cult Shows Ever, a veritable who's who of programs that got people talking — and in many cases still had them talking long after the final episode aired. The litmus tests were many. These are the types of shows that make normal folk Romulan-fluent, series that inspire what can only be called worship. The faithful collect everything from action figures (and perhaps way too many of them) to yellowing scripts obtained by any means necessary. They attend conventions in fangs or blue skin or with Hurley's numbers tattooed in disturbing places. In the Works: SNL Alum Chris Kattan Is a Hero

IFC is developing for 2008 Bollywood Hero, an eight-episode, half-hour comedy series starring Chris Kattan as a version of himself.... MTV is developing a pair of scripted series: Darius, about the dark and secret life of a seemingly "all-American" teen, and Cheerleader Camp, a horror series pegged as "Heathers meets Scream".... Spike TV is retooling its original-series strategy to target comedy as much as drama, says Variety. As such, the cabler is developing The Factory, a semi-improvised comedy (à la Curb Your Enthusiasm) from Strangers with Candy cocreator Mitch Rouse. read more

Question: Any news on what the cast of Everwood is up to now that the show is over? If I can no longer watch them on one of the best shows on TV, I'd like to follow their careers.

Answer: Compiling a list like that seems really tedious and time-consuming. In other words, it's the perfect job for TV Guide's summer intern, Northwestern senior Laura Moore! Here's what she found out:

Emily VanCamp: According to her publicist, "Emily's moving to Los Angeles for the first time since she started acting. Her experience on the show was an incredible journey and, though she’s very sad to leave her Everwood family, she is excited about the opportunities ahead and is ready for a new challenge." Last summer, Em shot the coming-of-age indie film Black Irish, starring Will & Grace's read more
