Premise: Into the sky with the chiseled, highly decorated Air Force pilot, based on a comic strip (which ran from 1947 to 1988) by Milton Caniff, who created `Terry and the Pirates.' The series and strip reflected the nation's post-World War II can-do spirit. It wasn't until January 1959, when Canyon began operating from Big Thunder AFB, that it had a regular supporting cast.
