Borrowing from the parlance of Dollhouse itself, Fox has decided to send the Joss Whedon series to the attic after its 13-episode run is up...and the network is hastening its departure by doubling up episodes this month. Tonight, the back-to-back episodes feature former Whedon hand Summer Glau (River from Firefly and Serenity) as Topher's D.C. Dollhouse counterpart, whose link to Echo results in a shocking reunion. Before that, however, Echo is assigned to stop Sen. Perrin's Dollhouse quest.

The argument could be made that every episode of the series is a Halloween episode, but some episodes are more so than others. This episode is classically frightful as it borrows heavily from a horror classic — Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The book's famous Headless Horseman comes to life to haunt Melinda, and it's safe to say he's not going to want to cross over into the light. Adding more drama to the story is Melinda's fear when the book shows up at Aiden's school.

The cable net has found a new odd couple in Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) and Peter Burke (Tim DeKay). The pair, a slick con man and an FBI agent, respectively, strike up an uneasy partnership after Neal proposes a deal in which he'll work with Peter to catch elusive white-collar criminals in exchange for staying out of prison. It's a tenuous truce for the foes with a long history, but it's one they're both willing to explore. Diahann Carroll guest stars as a widow who sees Neal's good side and offers him some seriously luxurious new digs.
