Comcast, E! Entertainment, The Soup host Joel McHale and the Associated Press may be hit with a defamation lawsuit from a dwarf couple who are objecting to the way they have been presented.
A praecipe for writ of summons, a precursor to a suit, was filed by Cara and Gibson Reynolds, a couple featured in an Associated Press article about the ethical boundaries involved in allowing parents to create "designer babies." They were quoted as saying, "You cannot tell me that I cannot have a child who's going to look like me... It's just unbelievably presumptuous and they're playing God."

"We're so excited to have Joel on board as the host, and his quick wit, talent and charm makes him a perfect fit for our audiences," Dawn Hudson, executive director of Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the awards show, said in a statement.
