Disney Channel Renews Hannah with a Change, Sonny with a Chance

Two of the Disney Channel's teen queens will continue their reigns: The cabler has ordered new seasons of Hannah Montana and Sonny with a Chance.

Hannah Montana, starring Miley Cyrus, will begin production on Season 4 early next year. Coming off of this season's upcoming cliff-hanger, the next cycle will find the Stewart clan struggling to say goodbye to their Malibu home.

The biggest concert of the year takes place tonight at L.A.'s Staples Center. Yeah, a few awards will be dutifully doled out over the three-hour event, but it's the stellar performances that most viewers will be talking about at work and school tomorrow, such as Kanye West and T.I. rapping "Swagga Like Us," and Taylor Swift duetting her self-penned "Fifteen" with Miley Cyrus. Lead Grammy nominee Lil Wayne also performs, as do Coldplay, U2, Paul McCartney, Radiohead and the Jonas Brothers. For nostalgia buffs, there's a Four Tops tribute headlined by Jamie Foxx and Ne-Yo.

VIDEO: Demi Lovato Previews Her Sonny New Series

When Sonny Munroe lands in Los Angeles, her simple life will never be the same. That's the set-up for Sonny with a Chance, a new Disney Channel comedy starring 16-year-old Demi Lovato and making its debut this Sunday at 8 pm/ET.

Summing up the series as "30 Rock, Disney-fied," Lovato tells us, "I play this girl who gets to come to Hollywood and appear on her favorite sketch comedy show" — the fictional and teen-targeted So Random!
