So You Think You Can Dance Episode Recap: Top 6 Revealed Season 5, Episode 18

What an exciting night. First of all, congratulations to the show for making it to its 100th episode. All the special performances (as well as the actual results from last night's vote) made this a very exciting show.

Choreographer/Genre: Mia Michaels/Contemporary Broadway
Title/Artist: "One"/A Chorus Line (Original Broadway Cast)
Performance: Nice choice. Loving this tribute. The dancers look like they are having a blast. Mia has put together a very nice piece for them — great movement. Highly enjoyable.

For Mia, the highlight of being 100 is the babies coming back to the nest and showing us what they've learned. She's Mama Mia.

For Mary, this show means the world to her. There has been a lot of laughter and tears; some not so good dancing and some of the most brilliant dancing. She's so proud and grateful.

For Nigel, the best part is seeing television at its best. And at its best, it can unite a country with shared experience. It happened last night with Tyce's piece. Olivia Newton John called and said that routine said more than words could and it touched her. He's proud and grateful to get to 100.

There is a great highlight reel where we see a lot of our old and current favorites. I really can't do justice to it so I hope you got a chance to see it.

Which girl is in danger of going home?

Kayla — I'm not surprised, but I'll be very upset if she goes home.
Janette — I'm not surprised, but considering how much love she got from the judges last night I think there are many in the audience and at home who are shocked.

100th episode highlight: The Hummingbird and the Flower
Hok and Jaimie
Choreographer/Dance: Wade Robson/Contemporary
Title/Artist: "The Chairman's Waltz"/Memoirs of a Geisha (soundtrack)
Performance: So expressive and powerful. Very, very nice work by these great dancers. So much fun to watch. Better then I remembered.

Which guy is in danger of going home?

Jason — I'm not shocked although I am disappointed. I think he put in two strong performances last night.
Brandon — Shocking. Shocking! I'm almost speechless.

100th episode highlight: The Bench Dance
Travis and Heidi
Choreographer/Dance: Mia Michaels/Contemporary
Title/Artist: "Calling You"/Celine Dion
Performance: So amazing. I don't want to take notes. I want to watch it. Very nice. One quick question though: Has Heidi always been that blonde?

Solos:
Kayla
Title/Artist:
"The Moment I Said It"/Imogen Heap
Still great. I'm still a huge fan.

Jason
Title/Artist:
"...Slowdance on the Inside"/Taking Back Sunday
Still great but I think his nerves are getting to him a bit. Nice job.

Janette
Title/Artist:
"Seduces Me"/Celine Dion
Different then last night. I enjoyed last night's piece more.

Brandon
Title/Artist: "Ain't Nothing Wrong With That"/Robert Randolph & The Family Band
I love him. I will protest in some fashion if he leaves us tonight.

100th episode highlight: Ramalama
Choreographer/Dance: Wade Robson/Contemporary Pop
Title/Artist: "Ramalama (Bang Bang)"/Roisin Murphy
Performance: Wade is amazing. I'm so excited he's performing in this piece along with the Season 2 dancers. So much fun. I think they are killing it. Very impressive.

100th episode highlight: Katie Holmes
She's a good friend of Tyce Diorio and very happy to be part of the Dizzy Feet foundation. She'll be singing and dancing in a homage to Judy Garland choreographed and directed by Tyce.
Title/Artist: "Get Happy"/Katie Holmes
Performance: Let me just say this...hmmm. I feel like she danced and sang better on an episode of Eli Stone, when that show was still on. Decent tribute, I guess. Nothing to write home about. And, what's with the lip synching? If she loves to sing and dance as much as she claims, then do it live please.

Nigel thanks Katie for working so hard and donating her fee to the foundation. Judy Garland's son Joey Luft is in the audience.

Who is leaving?
Janette. I'm sorry to see her go but I'm happy Kayla is still in the competition. I really hope she makes it to the top 4. Nigel tells Janette she was his favorite and he wanted her to win. The celebration is a bit ruined for him. American got it wrong.

Jason. I'm not shocked but I really am disappointed after his performances from yesterday. Even with his amazing contemporary piece, I would have been ok with Ade going home.

What do you think? Did America send the right dancers home? Who would you like to see in the Top 4? Can you believe the season finale is only two weeks away?

Don't forget to vote for your favorite dancer in the poll below and check back next week for the latest batch of Power Rankings.
