Season 10, Episode 18
After everything that happened with the VRA, Lois tells Clark it's best to make "Clark Kent" forgettable and awkward so people don't suspect he's The Blur. However, the two are stunned when a fame-hungry superhero from the future, Booster Gold (guest star ERIC MARTSOLF - Days of Our Lives), sweeps into town and begins making saves and posing for press ops, completely winning over the city of Metropolis. Booster begins his campaign to take The Blur's place as the "World's Greatest Superhero" and tries to charm Lois into writing a story about him, but she's not having his antics and begins her own campaign for The Blur. During one of Booster's saves, an alien weapon in the form of a scarab falls from a truck and fuses itself to a boy named Jaime Reyes (guest star JADEN BRANDT BARTLETT), turning him into the Blue Beetle. Unfortunately, Jaime is unable to control the suit and Blue Beetle starts attacking Metropolis. Tom Welling directed the episode written by Geoff Johns.

Fox Boss on Growing Tuesday Comedies, the Future of X Factor and New Details on Gotham

Less than 24 hours after Brooklyn Nine-Nine's surprise double wins at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly touted the network's Tuesday slate of comedies while also saying that he hopes for growth.

"I'm very proud of all four shows. I think they've all performed very well. ... We put a nice little crown on top with our wins," Reilly told reporters Monday at Fox's Television Critics Association winter previews. Although Reilly called the low ratings for Dads, Brooklyn, New Girl and The Mindy Project "a frustrating situation," he also noted that all four comedies are "at the top of the pack" compared to comedies on other networks. "Some of our mature shows are down ... so it's been a mixed bag, but the positive side is some of our new shows have performed.... read more

Exclusive: Zatanna and John Constantine Make Magic in Smallville Comic Book

Smallville is about to get magical. The DC Comics digital series based on the long-running TV show takes a supernatural sidetrack in a new storyline featuring Zatanna and John Constantine.

The magically powered Zatanna, best known for casting spells spoken backwards, returns to the world of Clark Kent and Co. in "Harbinger," a story beginning Friday that runs parallel to the comic's main narrative. Introduced in Season 8 of the TV show (played by Serinda Swan), Zatanna is now in London. "She's taken her show on the road, using her tour as a cover to run down and deal with all the messes/enchanted/cursed everythings her father left behind when he died," says Bryan Q. Miller, who writes the comic book extension of the TV series. "By the time we catch up with her in 'Harbinger,' she's closing in on the final item on that list."

Premise: Superman's teen years as Clark Kent find him agonizing over his shy, uncertain persona while dealing with his evolving powers and an infatuation with classmate Lana Lang. Crisply paced and cast with appealing performers, `Smallville' is not at all campy and is often surprisingly moving as a conventional coming-of-age drama; it succeeds in adding creative twists to the young hero's life without compromising the adult pop icon's legend.
