Premise: Dabney Coleman had one of his best roles as a self-centered sportswriter whose fearless approach and inflammatory style have made him a legend. Not to mention a popular target for lawsuits. Four years earlier, Coleman and series creator Jay Tarses had teamed up on `Buffalo Bill,' another caustic, ratings-challenged cult favorite.
