Lydia decides to sell the house she once shared with Harrison, but the plan doesn't sit well with Nate, who enlists Sam and Atticus in an attempt to stop it. Harrison, too, joins the effort. In other events, Nate and Jimmy have a heart-to-heart that causes Jimmy to have second thoughts about his relationship with Lydia.
Urged by Lydia and Jimmy, Nate goes on a series of dates with women from a dating site. The pairings aren't up to par, however, and he almost throws in the towel until Lydia suggests he give it one last chance. In other events, Sam tries to write a song that isn't about Nate.
Lydia thinks that she may be pregnant and pleads with Nate not to tell Jimmy until she knows for sure. Harrison, meanwhile, makes it clear to Jimmy that he's out to win back Lydia; and Emma writes a country song about Nate's complicated life.
Lydia and Jimmy plan a date in public to rebuff Nate's contention that they're not serious about their relationship. Nate, meanwhile, goes on a date with an older woman he meets at a restaurant; and Atticus prepares for a perfect evening with Sam.
