In last week's season premiere, John Schneider suffered the same fate portraying Grace Bowman's father as he did playing Clark Kent's father on Smallville: His character was killed off the show. Tonight his death is mourned by everyone who knew him, especially Grace, who was in a fight with her dad before he got into a plane accident. She's also plagued with guilt because she believes her actions (forsaking her vow of chastity until marriage by sleeping with Jack) are to blame for his death.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager returns Monday with not just the usual love triangle, but possibly a love pentagon. Amy's dating Ben, but Daren Kagasoff's Ricky may be angling for her affections as well — when he isn't pursuing a spark with Grace (Megan Park). Of course, Grace has a boyfriend, with whom she has her own drama.

Not that Secret Life is all about teenage love — this season begins with a major death, expected to affect the show's young and old characters alike. We talked with Kagasoff and Park about what to expect. Watch the video below:

There will be life and death on the Season 2 premiere of The Secret Life of the American Teenager (Monday, 8 pm/ET, ABC Family). Someone will get pregnant (not hard to figure out who) and, as already revealed, someone else dies. "[The death] affects everybody, but I'd say it affects the youth of the show more so," Ken Baumann tells TVGuide.com. I only have one question about the NCIS finale: Is Cote de Pablo returning to the show next season? — B.C.
MATT: Why, did it look like Ziva was on death's doorstep in that secretly filmed torture scene? If so, think back to what NCIS boss Shane Brennan said about that grim cliff-hanger: Come September, "all will be revealed and you will be surprised. It will come at you from left field." (But, in a word: Yes. Sources whisper to me that Cote will be back.) Bonus buzzlet: Season 6 arrives on DVD Aug. 25!
