Premise: An enjoyably trashy tale of liaisons and power games in the fashion and movie worlds. Adapted from Judith Krantz's novel, it's the story of a spirited, strong-willed woman who romances a count and a jet-setting magnate, and opens a Beverly Hills boutique, Scruples. The eclectic cast includes Gene Tierney (`Laura'), one of the most luminous leading ladies of the 1940s.
