Every week, editors Mickey O'Connor and Adam Bryant satisfy your need for TV scoop. Please send all questions to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.

Have any scoop on Heroes? — Tyler
ADAM:
Matt Parkman will try his best to just be a detective/family man, but he's got a little devil sitting on his shoulder trying to convince him to be more, thanks to his part in the Sylar-Nathan mind meld. "The evil part of Sylar got stuck in my subconscious, and he is slowly gaining control over me," Greg Grunberg tells me. "I have a feeling that he's going to make Matt do things that he would never, ever do in a million years." You mean like putting the show's fate in the hands of a bunch of carnies?

Scrubs' Next Season Heads for the Classroom

Scrubs

When Scrubs returns for its somewhat unexpected ninth season this fall on ABC, the show will make a move from the halls of Sacred Heart to those of a medical school — with Christopher Turk (played by Donald Faison)  and Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) leading the way.

"It's going to be a different show," creator Bill Lawrence told EW's Ausiello. "It'll still be life-and-death stakes, but if the show is just Scrubs again in the hospital with a different person's voiceover, it would be a disaster, and people would be mad."

While Cox and Turk will now be teaching and the setting will ... read more

Watch Out, Boy, Maneater Sarah Chalke Will Chew You Up

Sarah Chalke, Maneater

Summer is around the corner, so it's time for some fun and frothy fare to liven up the tube. Filling that bill this weekend is Maneater, a two-part Lifetime miniseries airing Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm/ET, and based on the Gigi Levangie Grazer's New York Times best-seller.

Starring as the titular minx is Sarah Chalke, who traded in her scrubs for dazzling (mini-)dresses and come-hither bikinis. Can her shallow socialite, Clarissa Alpert, develop a deeper appreciation of what matters in life? Chalke surveyed her character's journey, as well as offered updates on her How I Met Your Mother and Scrubs runs.

TVGuide.com: I have to say, you're looking absolutely terrific in Maneater.
Sarah Chalke: Thanks, dude! It's all pretend — smoke and mirrors and ... read more

Premise: An engaging (and periodically serious) look at hospital work through the eyes of a young intern, coping with unusual challenges presented by colleagues as well as patients. The show is a smart mix of humor and social commentary, and has had a diverse lineup of guest stars, including Colin Hay of Men at Work, Brendan Fraser, Dick Van Dyke and, in one of his rare TV appearances since he left full-time work because of Parkinson's disease, Michael J. Fox.
