Premise: Renowned Hollywood directors gave TV a shot in this half-hour anthology. They included John Ford, who guided John Wayne in `Rookie of the Year,' the actor's TV debut. Among the other directors who worked on the series: George Stevens, Fred Zinnemann, Leo McCarey and Ida Lupino.
