“Hydrogen Hopes” sketches ways it could replace fossil fuels. It's renewable and clean, but storage is a problem. The program visits Iceland, where it's made from geothermal energy, and MIT, where it's made by photosynthesis. In both places, scientists are working to extract energy “from the mind, not from the mines,” as hydrogen entrepreneur Iris Ovshinsky puts it.
