An episode about a special weapons and tactics team was spun off into the series `S.W.A.T.' A few months after `The Rookies' went off the air, Kate Jackson (who played Jill Danko) began a three-year run as Sabrina Duncan in another Aaron Spelling show, `Charlie's Angels.'
