Tales of the crew and passengers aboard the Enterprise, traveling along the Mississippi, Missouri and Ohio Rivers in the 1840s. The vessel was owned by Grey Holden, a jack-of-all-trades who won the ship in a poker game and decided to operate it for profit. Burt Reynolds appeared in the first half of the show's first season before his role was written out.
