Renegade cop and bounty hunter Reno Raines (LORENZO LAMAS) trails Bonnie Turner (MARY ELLEN STUART), an attractive and strong-willed fugitive wanted for assaulting a police officer. She aggressively resists Reno as he abducts her from a bowling alley in Phoenix, Arizona, but he handcuffs her to his motorcycle, and they begin the long journey to her bail bondsman in San Diego. As they sleep at a desert campsite, Bonnie confesses her intense hatred for all policemen. After unsuccessfully trying to seduce Reno, she convinces him the next morning to drive to her sister's house in a nearby town so she can say good-bye to her daughter. Unfortunately, there is no daughter. Claire Turner (CLAIRE YARLETT), Bonnie's older sister, hits Reno with a shovel, ties him with rope, and the two fugitive sisters escape in their car.
