The L.A. Complex
The CW has announced premiere dates for a slew of reality programming in addition to the return of America's Next Top Model, Remodeled and the scripted series L.A. Complex.
America's Next Top Model: College Edition will debut its 19th cycle on Friday, Aug. 24 at 8/7c. The upcoming season will include the return of Tyra Banks and Kelly Cutrone, but with new judges Rob Evans and Johnny Wujek who have replaced J. Alexander and Nigel Barker, and mentor Jay Manuel. The good news for American Idol? It won Wednesday night. The bad? It suffered another huge drop.
The former Fox juggernaut topped the night — which featured Part 1 of its Top 24 reveal — with 15.9 million viewers and a 5.1 rating in the adults 18-to-49 demo, but was ...

No Grissom and no Willows? No problem for CSI.
The veteran drama was one of two shows Wednesday to see a ratings bump, when it introduced Elisabeth Shue's Julie "Finn" Finlay, pulling in 11.1 million viewers and a 2.7 rating in the adults 18-to-49 demo (up 2 and 8 percent, respectively).
The other show to enjoy a gain? ...

Those writing about the inexorably declining ratings of American Idol will have to stand down for at least a day as the amateur talent competition stayed even with last week in the industry-prized 18-to-49 demographic, according to preliminary Nielsen figures.
Now, we'll have to see if the cliff-hanger involving the hopeful who fainted and fell off the stage gooses the ratings for Fox. (By comparison, fair or not, NBC's The Voice grabbed 17.69 million viewers with a 6.6 demo rating Monday night on its first regularly scheduled airing.)
They can obsess about these numbers on Touch: Wednesday night's preview of the series that begins March 19 pulled in the second-biggest audience of any prime-time drama premiere this season.
It was second only to ABC's Once Upon a Time, which reeled in 12.79 million viewers and a 4.0 rating among industry-prized 18-to-49-year-olds on Oct. 23, and Kiefer Sutherland's TV comeback surpassed the debut of two other ballyhooed Fox shows this season, Alcatraz (9.97 million/3.3 on Jan. 16) and Terra Nova (9 million/3.1 on Sept. 26), according to preliminary Nielsen figures. Of course, Touch had the benefit of following American Idol, which was the night's most-watched show by far (despite its relatively lagging numbers), and kept 61 percent of its lead-in's viewership.
It's Round 2 for the networks as they head into mid-season. As CBS and Fox dominate, ABC is hoping to continue its momentum and NBC's looking for a break. Here are hot topics to consider this winter.
Will new drama Smash and the return of The Voice finally hit some high notes for NBC?
The Peacock's execs and its competitors all agree this is the key question for winter. "NBC is going to have a very sleepless night the evening both shows premiere," says one rival. "That night is going to...
