It's "Real World: Windsor Castle"!

Queen Elizabeth's world gets royally exposed.

A three-part documentary premiering tonight on PBS (check local listings) lets us do more than peek through the keyhole into Queen Elizabeth's private world. In Windsor Castle: A Royal Year, we pull up a gilded chair alongside Her Majesty at lavish parties (with such, um, notable guests as David Hasselhoff), at a wedding and at one of Prince Harry's polo matches. But what's in it for her? Good PR and a little damage control. The 79-year-old monarch never gives interviews (nor does she in this show), but the cameras reveal her as warm and accessible. We even see her driving herself around town. And while hubby Prince Philip, 84, has a rep "for always putting his foot in read more

Question: I have been hearing a lot of things about the possibility of Hannah (Sarah Drew) leaving Everwood. What's the real story?

Answer: (MAJOR SPOILER ALERT) It's true: Hannah will decide to leave town after receiving tragic news in the Nov. 10 episode, but that doesn't mean we've seen the last of Sarah Drew on Everwood. I can't stress that enough. I also can't stress enough how freakin' unbelievable this show has been this season!

I fell asleep again; tonight it was the soothing rhythms of the kayaks that lulled me into a nice slumber. Seriously, it has to be this show. I watch at least four hours of TV a night, and I don't usually have this problem. Even after this I managed to wake myself up and watch several more shows. You'd think that all these people would make it slightly more enthralling, but it doesn't seem like it. I think Road Rules Theo's comment about Ryan Starr's social skills kind of sums it up perfectly: "I've had a better conversation with a waffle." Well, I've had a lot more fun eating than watching this "competition.".The only remotely entertaining event was the Super High Jump, which was a leap off a diving board over a bar and into the pool. This looked very silly, but of course Mike the Miz and Co. took it way too seriously. At least there's only one more week of this, although I may miss the quality nap time. read more

New Challenge for Real World/Road Rules

Real World/Road Rules Challenge

Here's a sign that reality-TV pioneer MTV knows what it's doing in the genre: Their undeniably addictive Real World/Road Rules Challenge is currently casting for its 12th season, but this time, as a nod to longtime fans of the obstacle course-laden competition, the show is giving "fresh meat" the chance to go up against the RW/RR veterans we've grown to love and hate. Are you what MTV is looking for? TVGuide.com picked the brain of Bunim-Murray Productions' senior casting producer Sasha Alpert, who's been sifting through extroverted 18-to-24-year-olds for the past nine years.

TVGuide.com: Which are some of the casts that you are proud of helping to choose?
Sasha Alpert:
The first one I ever cast was [Real World:] Boston, so that was near and dear. There is a chemistry t read more

Here, TV Guide Online gets all the trash on Trishelle! TV Guide Online: In the Surreal pilot, you complain about your slutty image. The editing that Bunim-Murray Productions chose to do read more

Premise: Much thanks (or blame) for the reality-show glut belongs here: young strangers live together in various locales. The groundbreaking hit features a new cast each season, with interactions among the diverse roommates heavy on ego, ambitions, anxieties and, of course, sex. What's stressed are dynamic personalities---and personality clashes---and its `confessional' interviews became a template for countless reality imitators.
