Show eight is the last in the first series and features the Psychic Scam, which shows how a hustler can cheat you with fake psychic powers, a demonstration of rigged dice game, a sneaky bar bet, a pool hustle and a romp through the rules of the real hustle- what we have learned throughout the series.
Episode six follows the team as they use common but clever con-tricks such as deliberately bumping into people in the street and dropping an allegedly expensive vase - which is infact just a pre-made box of broken glass - and demanding cash compensation for it; posing as motorbike couriers in city offices, asking to use the phone to trace a pick-up and then ringing up a big premium rate bill and masquerading as a car park attendant, labeling a perfectly functioning ticket machine with a simple out of order sign and then duping the public into paying for a completely fake parking ticket. They also demonstrate the way a proposition bet in a pool hall can catch you out and how fruit machines can be tampered with to affect your real chances of winning.
Episode four follows the team as they use common but clever con-tricks such as duping a barman into paying up the reward money for an allegedly expensive ring that has actually been bought for £5 from a market stall, conning the public at a car boot sale by selling them worthless scraps of paper that have been sprayed with black paint and claiming they are salvageable cancelled banknotes, beating three professional poker players at their own game by using a variety of card cheating techniques, demonstrating how a simple proposition bet with 3 paper cups can win you a free drink and how a team of con artists can use a cunning method to pick your pocket at the bus stop and dispose of the evidence.
Episode two follows the team as they use common but clever con-tricks such as selling a forged lottery ticket for £500, overcharging householders for worthless packages delivered to their door, a bar proposition bet where a glass of water and a glass of whisky change place, a distraction pickpocketing scam, and the timeless talent agency fraud where a fake agent scams £500 a time from wannabe pop stars to produce a tacky demo tape.
