The Real Housewives of New York City will add to its reality family again when it returns for a third season next year, Bravo announced.

Times have changed, and so have the winning words in this entertaining event. Hard-to-spell, but at least understandable, championship-deciding words from the past have included "gladiolus" (1925); "condominium" (1956); "chihuahua" (1967) and "luge" (1984). But starting about 15 years ago, the competition heated up, with winners having to clinch with words like "antediluvian," "succedaneum" and "appoggiatura." It's gotten tougher being a kid.

In the last episode before next week's live finale, Tara, Helen, Mike and Ron are sent home for 30 days and must learn to keep up their new healthy lifestyles while back in their day-to-day environment. The four also learn that they'll have to complete a full marathon upon their return to the ranch. Then it's time for the last weigh-in, which determines the final two contestants as well as the two who will be competing for viewer votes to land the third spot in the finale.

Real Housewives of New York City Launch Virtual Viewing Party

The Real Housewives of New York City are wrapping up their season two dramafest on Tuesday at 10 pm/ET, but Bravo is taking the excitement to a new level with a virtual viewing party.

The tension between Real Housewives of New York's Bethenny and Kelly went to a whole new level of belligerence this week. 

During Tuesday's episode, Kelly, who was still clearly offended by Bethenny's comments about her at Jill's charity meeting, decided to call her reality co-star to chat about the situation. But instead of having an adult conversation to settle their differences, the two were virtually spitting venom by the end.
