It's over, my friends. Pussycat Doll No. 7 has officially been named and, frankly, I'm a little shocked by the decision. Clearly, my favorite has been Chelsea for a while now. I thought Chelsea did great with the group track and was dead-on with the vocals on "Feelin' Good." But she was given the slowest song on the PCD disc to sing, meaning she really didn't have to dance. And as many times as her dancing was mentioned this season, you could see she wasn't going to win it. Now although Chelsea was my favorite, I did mention a few weeks ago that my pick to win it all was Melissa. And based on this episode, she should have. She was the perfect package. I thought her performance of "Stickwitu" was possibly her best of the entire show. The judges thought she was the whole package, except Ron thought she had a deer-in-headlights look. That must have been something we didn't see on camera, because it didn't look like that at all to me. And then there's Asia. She spent the entire episode ...

Didn't Chelsea look hot tonight?Sorry, had to get that out of my system. This is Angel Cohn, and I was doing my best to channel normal PCD blogger Dave Steed. My personal favorite got kicked off last week: I loved Anastacia and all that sexy hair and her sort of atypical look. That said, I actually do like Chelsea, and I felt bad for her when Melissa S. was picking on her and laughing every time that Mikey critiqued her. That's just not nice. I think Miss Melissa learned that reality-TV karma comes back to bite
and hard. Melissa S. does have the dance moves. She was banging it out in front of the mirror on her own. But she got more screen time for her mean comments and her vicious little interview session with Mark McGrath than her actual dancing. I was far more impressed by Robin Antin's abs during the choreography session. Damn! I'm not entirely sure how old Robin is, but I'd love to have abs like that at some point in my life. Unfortunately, I'm way less coordinated than po...

Boob pads?Oh sure, I know there are gel inserts a lady can pop into her dress to make her look bigger than she is, but Ive never really heard them called boob pads before. Has Melissa R. been using boob pads this whole time, but not tonight? Has she been duping me this whole time? And how many other girls on the show are doing it? Any of the actual Pussycat Dolls? Eh, its not like Im getting to see them after the show, so I guess it really doesnt matter as long as these enhancements make the girls look sexy. Mikey seemed to be interested in these enlargers, too. If I had boobs, it would make me feel more feminine. Mikey, buddy, that's one thing you definitely don't need to be. Im sorry to be touting my girl Chelsea every week here, but I love watching this semi-feud between her and Melissa S. I dont know if I get what Melissa was saying with if there were two of Chelsea. The girls seemed a little confused themse...

So the ladies got to go to Vegas this week and perform at the Pussycat Dolls lounge. Im sure that has to be cool for them, getting to perform on a stage that at least one of them might visit in the future. But did Mikey really have to make them dance on the bus? I suppose it had to be done since they had no time, but nothing like endangering their lives for one song. Melissas comment about not getting that memo was pretty funny. Can you picture the bus driver slamming on the breaks for some reason and Chelseas high heel going right through Asias leg or something stupid like that? Way to go, Mikey. The performance itself was just too quick for me to really judge any of the girls. I do know that the Pussycat Dolls cover of Soft Cells Tainted Love is my least favorite song on their record, so hearing these girls sing the oft-covered song does nothing for me. What I did certainly notice was Mikey saying that once again Chelsea didnt reall...

First of all, let me start off by saying some of these girls looked like crap this week. I'm very surprised that they let the cameras catch them without makeup, slamming down take-out, looking all raggedy. Of course, I know it's "real" and that's what happens, but on most shows like this, it seems the ladies make it a point to look their best even in their sleep. Of course, there aren't men in the house to impress (oh, and the guys do it too... it's not just a female thing). If you haven't watched it yet, I apologize for giving the ending away before I talk about the show itself, but I'm so happy Sisely is gone! I liked her at the beginning but she got real annoying, real quick. I will miss some of the great statements that she spouts, though, such as: "It's hard being the oldest." She's 24! And what made it harder for her than the rest of the girls? Despite what she thought, she was no more mature than the other girls and her experience didn't get her the job, nor did her age have a...

Thanks to a 76ers game preempting this week's episode, let's jump right into this one. (Maybe next week it might air at the normal time.)Sisely seems to think that nothing's fair anymore. She doesn't get enough sleep, the coaches put too much pressure on her, her left cheek is not hanging out from her shorts enough (OK, so I made that last one up). Really though, that might not be far from the truth, as it seems like any random thing that doesn't go her way isn't fair. So let's start a list of things I don't think are fair:1. Half the episode was dedicated to Sisely. 2. The first 30 minutes were almost like I was seeing last week over again. 3. They sent the wrong girl home. 4. McGrathbot. I have to admit that I was far less entertained by this episode than the last. I think it's simply because I didn't know what to expect last time. This week, I knew the format and, man, did they stick right to it. They really don't have to shoot much footage of this show. Save some money, shoot ab...

Like, oh my god! What an entertaining show this is. Aaaaahhhhhh! [Giggle, scream, giggle] OK, so, like the first three minutes were torture. Youd swear that these girls were 13 years old the way they scream at everything over and over and over again. I must have heard "Oh my god" a gadzillion times. But after that, this turned out to be so much more entertaining than I'd expected. Before we break down the nine remaining girls, lets discuss the surroundings first. For some reason, I feel the need to state up front that I am not sexist nor do I mean anything negative by using the word stripper. So no matter how many times I say man, they dressed her like a stripper, thats no slag against those who take their clothes off for a living. In fact, I quite like losing all my money, one dollar at a time. Somehow, I feel this paragraph might apply to future episodes as well. The crazy thing about this show, though, is that right before Mikey talks abo...

Hello, friends. Welcome to the first blog for The Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. Before we dive into analysis, let me clarify a few things that I determined before the show started: 1) Ive never watched Veronica Mars. Therefore, there will be no bring back Veronica Mars comments coming from me unless Kristen Bell is one of the contestants. I may not watch the show, but I do know there can never be too much Kristen Bell.Update: Damn, no Kristen Bell. [Wink, wink] 2) I am not under the illusion that this will be the greatest show ever. I am under the illusion that this will be one heck of an entertaining hour, and I hopefully will make it one heck of an entertaining blog to go along with it. 3) I will do my best to not constantly make cat references. So-and-so is Purrrfect will not be seen going forward. 4) I will also do my best not to randomly quote lines from PCD songs. For example: I know the final nine girls have really b...
