Recapping some recent ratings highlights:
• On Saturday night, NBC's Kings returned to an audience of 1.59 million total viewers, CBS' Harper's Island (3.17 mil) dropped 12 percent, and the series finale of ABC's Pushing Daisies delivered 2.24 mil. Coming this Saturday: The first of the last Eli Stone episodes!
• ABC's coverage of Sunday's NBA Finals drew 10.12 million viewers, the biggest audience for a Game 5 since 2004. On average, this year's Magic-Lakers series retained 95 percent of 2008's Celtics-Lakers finals.
• The CW's timely broadcast of the original The Taking of Pelham One Two Three scored 2.15 mil.

Drummers Simon Kirke, Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson and Chris "Tomato" Harfenist pop up on tonight's episode, and they are not happy with Alex after he boasts that he's the greatest drummer in the world. His bragging makes its way onto the Internet, and these three musicians have a little problem with that claim. Pushing Daisies

Despite critical acclaim and a devoted following, Pushing Daisies lives up to its name as tonight's series finale represents the final nail in the coffin of cancellation by ABC. But as one might expect, it's going out in style, especially when Vivian and Lily reunite as the synchronized-swimming duo Darling Mermaid Darlings after tragedy strikes a water circus. Nora Dunn and Wendie Malick guest star as the Aquadolls.

Some recent ratings highlights:
• The premiere of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien delivered the best numbers (a 7.1/17 rating) for a Monday Tonight Show in more than four years, and the seventh-highest Monday overnights for Tonight since Jay Leno took over as host in 1992.
Compared to his final Late Night broadcast, Conan's audience was up 173 percent. (Read Mickey O'Connor's "snap judgement" of Conan's Tonight Show.)
• The 2009 MTV Movie Awards averaged 5.3 million total viewers, a year-to-year increase of 73 percent and the show's biggest audience since 2004.
• On Saturday night, Harper's Island held steady at 3.85 mil, and Pushing Daisies returned to an audience of 2.35 mil.
• Across the pond, the season finale of Britain's Got Talent — in which the dance troupe Diversity bested Susan Boyle — drew 17.3 million viewers, or 72 percent of the U.K. television audience. That represents a 32 percent gain over the competition's previous finale.

Pushing Daisies

Life imitates art on Pushing Daisies — the show was yanked from ABC's schedule last year and subsequently canceled, but it's come back to life to deliver three more episodes before shuffling off to the great beyond. In tonight's episode, Chuck and Emerson make for a strange sleuthing pair when Ned announces that he doesn't want to use his otherworldly powers to solve crimes anymore. Meanwhile, Olive faces the consequences of a youthful prank gone awry: The kidnappers she hired to abduct her as a child (she just wanted more attention from her parents) are back! Richard Benjamin and George Segal guest star as the kidnappers.
