You could get whiplash trying to keep track of shows comings and goings during a network mid-season as chaotic and badly managed as this one is turning out to be. Some thoughts about the latest news, much of which surfaced in the trades and some of which has yet to be confirmed by the networks:First, the no-brainer: 7th Heaven is officially being laid to rest. Again. The family-friendly drama, which was brought back from cancellation a year ago when the new CW decided it needed to launch with as many familiar franchises as possible, is now gearing up to say goodbye to the Camdens once more, when the 11th season wraps May 13. This was hardly unexpected. The show went decidedly under the radar when the CW moved it from Mondays to Sundays, where it was stranded amid a sea of repeats and second-runs of shows like Americas Next Top Model. It was time to go a year ago. This is just sad.Now on to this springs roster of mid-season losers. Hope you didnt get too attac...

How do I love America's Next Top Model winner Danielle Evans? Let me count the ways. For starters, the 20-year-old was never at a loss for words. (If your attention span is so short that you don't remember how wonderfully witty she is, read on — this interview will remind you.) She fought as long and hard as anyone could've against Tyra Banks' head-scratch

Ashton Kutcher's former Punk'd cohort, Dax Shepard, makes his big-screen acting debut in the new comedy Without a Paddle (opening Aug. 20). He plays Tom, a lovable boozer and pothead with a tendency toward dishonesty. Sounds like a piece of cake for Dax, right? Actually, the 29-year-old UCLA grad (who majored in anthropology) insists his doofy slacker role really was a stretch.
"In Paddle, I play a guy who is compensating for not having an education," Shepard explains. "I think of my character as someone who is as intelligent as Dan [Seth Green's character], but Dan had good parents and went to medical school and became a doctor, and Tom just went to jail. So he's trying to make up for the fact that he knows nothing, and feel smart by lying a lot and trying to be an expert at something."
How did Shepard make his jump from bookworm to MTV prankster in real life? "I actually made the transition from acting to a

TV Guide Online: Which celebrity has reacted best to being punk'd?Whitney Cummings: Probably Chris Klein, as far as the most satisfying reaction. He bought it hook, line and sinker.
TVGO: No, I mean who was the best sport?Cummings: Oh. In that c

When Punk'd prankster Ashton Kutcher made his That '70s Show cast mate, Wilmer Valderrama, think that his new hot rod had been totalled, we thought he was ruthless. But, it turns out, he was merely righteous! "The reason that happened," the Butterfly Effect leading man explains, "is because I got to work [at the Fox hitcom] one day, and these two clowns [Valderrama and Topher Grace] had stolen all my furniture out of my dressing room and hid it in the closets.
"I called up security," he continues, "and had them come. We were going to call the cops [before the jig was up]. So [slaughtering what appeared to be Valderrama's car] was just payback."
Despite the no-holds-barred trickery behind the scenes of That '70s Show, Kutcher insists that he isn't out to one-up his costars professionally. The idea that, as Demi Moore's high-profile steady and Hollywood's newest matinee idol, he has somehow moved beyond the sco
