A New York cop and his con-artist informant enter the Witness Protection Program after they're targeted for murder by the mobster they tried to take down. The lighthearted action moves to Palm Springs, Cal., where the duo reluctantly pose as husband and wife and find work at Palm Security and Investigation. Among the recurring characters was then-Palm Springs mayor Sonny Bono.
