Private eye Gabriel Bird from `Gabriel's Fire' had less fire in him in this revamped version, which opted for lightheartedness over the grim tone of its predecessor. Bird was now living in laid-back L.A., where he teamed with another PI to form the agency O'Hannon & Bird.
