Criminal Minds: Can Garcia's Secret Hobby Help Catch a Creepy Killer?

Kirsten Vangsness, Shemar Moore

Criminal Minds' quirky lab tech Penelope Garcia is about to show her BAU colleagues — and viewers — a side of her they've never seen.

On Wednesday's episode, the show will reveal that Garcia (Kirsten Vangness) spends her time outside the lab acting in a theater troupe. When Hotch (Thomas Gibson) finds out, Garcia begs him to keep it a secret from the rest of the group.

But the truth comes out when a woman dressed like a 1950s starlet is found murdered in an alley. In their investigation, the team discovers that her murderer, played by Prison Break's Robert Knepper, has cut off her lips in a deranged homage to his former movie star mother (Sally Kirkland). When a second victim goes missing, the team needs to draw the killer out, so Hotch calls on Garcia to use her acting skills... read more

Lost Episode Recap: "Recon"

On Tuesday's Sawyer-centric episode of Lost, UnLocke is sending The Talented Mr. Ford on a mission. From what we've heard, it involves lots of dead bodies and the introduction of a new character — this late in the game? — named Zoe (Sheila Kelley). Other notable guest stars in this hour include: Rebecca Mader, who plays the doomed Charlotte; Neil Hopkins, who plays Charlie's brother Liam; and Jodi Lyn O'Keefe (Prison Break), who plays another new character named Ava. An interesting mix, no?

I'll post a full recap later. In the meantime, please use this space to post your thoughts on "Recon."

Premise: An engineer gets himself incarcerated to engineer the escape of his death-row brother, who was framed for killing the vice president's brother. While the setup requires a leap of faith, the drama is consistently taut as Michael Scofield succeeds, only to find himself and his fellow escapees on the lam in Season 2---and back in prison, this time in Panama, in Season 3, giving Michael another escape to engineer. In Season 4, Michael and crew were back in the U.S., chasing the nefarious Company.
