For starters, and I did a bit of a rant on this in the podcast, the Michael-in-a-long-sleeve-shirt thing is getting very silly. There he was, sitting in a solitary confinement "cell"
designed to sweat the inmate into subserviance if not death, and he doesn't strip - all because, what, Wentworth won't slap on the faux tatts for one episode? OK, nit is picked.
Storywise, I question Michael's decision to involve the new "general" or whatever in the details of the escape plan forced upon him. As Linc said, LJ could have easily been Tancredi'd if things went wrong (as they did). Of course, things would not have gone as badly had General Mynameistoast taken an actual police force with him to the shack, instead of one ADD-addled dope. That scene, and the water torture, sure showed us some new depths to Gretchen's grit. Too bad she then fell for the, "Sucre is quarreling with Linc" trap. Duh!
Who else was cheering when Bellick bested the Latin king? That was so awesome, dirty tricks or not. Our boy who paraded around for so (OK, too) long in but a diaper now has some cred. Damn T-bag for seemingly plotting to undermine it.
Sammy is
so going to die, it's just a matter of by whose hand. Good. He bugs me.
So many episodes into the season now, what do we all think of the casting of Whistler? I'm just not feeling it. Something is a bit off. Or maybe it's just the character, who is
so vaguely defined.
My favorite moment of this week? When Michael got in Susan B.'s face and asked her if she killed Sarah. It could be so easy to completely forget the Sarah/love lost angle, but when Michael promises to "come find you," you do remember the pain he must be feeling inside.
