Prison Break Episode Recap: "Five the Hard Way" Season 4, Episode 6

This week on Prison Break, T-Bag got the upper (if prosthetic) hand, Self changed his strategy, and one of the boys was forced to have sex for money. And now, the full recap.

Lookee, lookee at Prison Break delivering what at least to me was one of the biggest surprises ever: The true nature of Sucre's "mission." (Emission?)

That twist put a big smile on my face because, really, the promo from last week obviously meant to sell us on Scuderi swinging the other way. And the even better part? Mrs. Scuderi was mad hot! "You want me to bang your wife?" And apparently he did, in light of his "What happens in Vegas" response to Roland.

I'd say this was another solid episode. I liked the meeting of the minds between Self and Mahone, where Alex revealed how he got bested by "a structural engineer from Illinois": "he took the game to me. He got aggressive." Self took that tip and next thing we know, showed up on the General's doorstep loaded for bear. Will the General pull the order to kill Self? Or now focus on trying to recruit him?

I liked how organic it was, the twist involving Roland and the gaming commission. Of course a computer hacker like him would have old biz in Sin City. So have we said goodbye to The Device for good? Instead of copying the final card, will they now need to steal it outright?

Am I to understand that GATE has been within 300 yards of the building where the General works all this time? And that Whistler had a map to a tunnel underneath…?

Am I seeing things or did T-Bag seemed turned on by Gretchen's ruthless carving of his arm? And she, him, when he was threatening to blow the GATE receptionist's brains across the table?

Lastly, it has now been confirmed that Michael's nosebleeds point to a possible tumor, seeing as his mother showed the same symptoms — first as a pre-teen, then later, dying in her 30s. Will Dr. Sara help sneak him into a hospital for a proper look-see?

Memorable lines/quick thoughts:

• "....that bird book is about as worthless as a fart in a windstorm."
• "You're messing with the wrong bitch."
• Jumping back to last episode: When Sara was in the skin-tight jeans at the race track, how did she hide the ankle monitor? (This week at the casino, I presume, she had on pants.)
• "Shut up, Roland!" And we take a drink....
• "Can you get me Carrot Top's autograph? Because I think that would make this whole thing worthwhile."
• Um, Michael is 31?
• "And you wonder how I got to be the top salesman in the Northeast region."
• Woulda been cool if Sucre ran into his Transformers costar, Josh "Danny McCoy" Duhamel," at the Montecito.
• Could Roland have been more obvious in his slot tampering?
• Lincoln and Scuderi: Separated at birth?

Premise: An engineer gets himself incarcerated to engineer the escape of his death-row brother, who was framed for killing the vice president's brother. While the setup requires a leap of faith, the drama is consistently taut as Michael Scofield succeeds, only to find himself and his fellow escapees on the lam in Season 2---and back in prison, this time in Panama, in Season 3, giving Michael another escape to engineer. In Season 4, Michael and crew were back in the U.S., chasing the nefarious Company.
