I've recently gotten ...

Question: I've recently gotten absolutely addicted to Nip/Tuck and would be eternally grateful for some inside info.

Answer:

Ryan Murphy has recruited one of his Popular alums for an episode. Next week, Adria Dawn (aka April Tuna) shows up as a Scientologist who helps Kimber move Matt out of Casa de McNamara. And if that's not enough for Julia to contend with, her nanny (played by Peter Dinklage) is going to develop some health problems.

Chief's Daughter Isn't Such a Brat

Caitlin Wachs, Commander in Chief

You may wonder, as I do, just what Rebecca Calloway's problem is on ABC's Commander in Chief (returning tonight at 9 pm/ET). I mean, wouldn't it be the bee's knees to be the president's daughter? Even though she left us hanging for a full day, TVGuide.com was more than happy to talk — prehiatus, mind you — with the first daughter, aka Caitlin Wachs (pronounced "wax"), about life in the White House, a pregnancy shocker to come and that older costar she's been calling "sexy." TVGuide.com: So, you blew off the hotshot TV Guide reporter....Caitlin Wachs: Oh, no! [Laughs] Maybe I'll win you back. TVGuide.com: Out late partying, I read more

Chief's Daughter Isn't Such a Brat

Caitlin Wachs, Commander in Chief

If you're like me, you may wonder just what is Rebecca Calloway's problem on ABC's Commander in Chief (Tuesdays at 9 pm/ET). I mean, wouldn't it be the bee's knees to be the president's daughter? (Or did my usage of "the bee's knees" prove how out of touch I am with today's teens?) Even though she left us hanging for a full day, TVGuide.com was more than happy to talk with the first daughter, aka Caitlin Wachs (pronounced "wax"), about life in the White House, a pregnancy shocker to come, and that older costar she's going around calling "sexy."

TVGuide.com: So, you blew off the hot-shot TV Guide reporter....
Caitlin Wachs:
Oh, no! [Laughs] Maybe I'll win you back.

THIS 'N' THAT

Leslie Bibb has been upped to series-regular status on NBC's Crossing Jordan, where she plays police-department shrink Det. Tallulah "Lu" Simmons; read our recent Insider Q&A with the Popular star.... Adrienne Barbeau (who practically stole Swamp Thing from, you know, that big green guy) will play Judy Garland in the off-Broadway play The Property Known as Garland, opening March 23.... As part of its deal to host the FIA Formula One World Championship for an 11th consecutive year, Speed Channel will now conduct live on-camera interviews from the starting grid, which is just asking for some poor reporter's foot to get run over. read more

Will Jordan's Sexy Shrink Shag Woody?

Leslie Bibb on Crossing Jordan

Popular alum Leslie Bibb recently joined NBC's Crossing Jordan (Sundays at 10 pm/ET) as Tallulah "Lu" Simmons, a police-department psychologist who has the oh-so-unenviable task of taking a long, hard look at Jerry O'Connell's Woody. Will Lu be the one to further douse any remaining flame between the hotheaded detective and M.E. Jordan? TVGuide.com spoke with Bibb about that, ham sandwiches and her love for Will Ferrell — even though, she admitted read more

As the World Turns alum Scott...

One Life to Live's Scott Bryce and Michael Easton team up

As the World Turns alum Scott Bryce — who romanced Meg Ryan's Betsy back in the '80s as the original Craig Montgomery — is coming back to daytime. But instead of returning to Oakdale, he's headed for One Life to Live's Llanview as police shrink Ed Crosby. He'll begin counseling broody cop John McBain (Michael Easton) on Jan. 4. Can't wait 'til 2006 for the details? Just read on....

TVGuide.com: Welcome back to soaps! We sure missed you.
Scott Bryce:
Thanks! Well, it's a recurring role, so we'll see how long I'm around. They've scheduled eight episodes for me so far, so I'll be airing into February on OLTL.

TVGuide.com: Before we get to that, Hunt Block is a fine actor, but for many ATWT fans, you're the one and only Craig. His Craig was very different from your more lovable version.
Bryce:
Aww... he was playing a different part with the same name. They needed to give him connecti read more

Jake 2.0 Hero Turns TV M.D.

Can you believe Harrison, the high-school geek from WB's Popular, is all grown up? His portrayer, Christopher Gorham, turned 30 this year. He's got a wife and two kids. He also has another well-liked but short-lived series under his belt, UPN's bionic-boy show, Jake 2.0. "I never got a reason why we were canceled, really, except that the numbers weren't what UPN wanted them to be," he tells TV Guide Online. "I got a call on the morning we were to shoot Episode 16. I was leaving the gym, getting ready for work and [the producers] called with the bad news. But we still ended up getting to shoot that last episode, which is great. There are four episodes that have not aired in the States, and it kills me because they're the four best episodes we did!" Well, just in case there's a Jake 2.0 DVD release — and TV sci-fi fans are clamoring for it — what was in those lost episodes? "There's an episode called 'Blackout' and one read more

Nip/Tuck Exec's Inner Turmoil

What inspired Popular creator Ryan Murphy to dream up Nip/Tuck? FX's hit plastic-surgery drama — whose second season opens tomorrow at 10 pm/ET — is his way of exorcising Hollywood demons. "Anybody who comes to L.A. is surrounded by the beautiful people," he says. "For so many people, there always is a sense of 'If only I could be [like that].' I certainly related to that."

That's how the doctors' signature line — "Tell me what you don't like about yourself" — made it into every Nip/Tuck episode. "That was my personal jumping-off point, because how many hours do we spend like, 'Oh, if I could fix this or change that'? I had just a really deep connection to that.

"But now, ironically, I don't," Murphy continues. "Because of writing these stories, I feel really content with my life and everything. It really calmed me, in a weird way, because I got to the core of people who go to change [their bodies read more
