Betty White Looks Back and Ahead on Her Golden Career

Betty White and the word "retire" don't go together. The word isn't even in her vocabulary, she says.

"Why should I retire from something I love doing? You can't get rid of me that way!" she tells TVGuide.com. "It's been 61 years. It doesn't seem that long, but I've been so lucky to kind of do a little of everything. How lucky can one person be?"

"Aristophanes!" CBS is teaming with Idol producer FremantleMedia North America on Million Dollar Password, a "pumped-up" (read: swirling lights and annoying/overly theatrical music) remake of the classic game show, Variety reports. Regis Philbin will host; our copy editors will go mad over the hyphen-deficient title.... Fox is opening The Church of Reggie, a Ron Howard-produced comedy pilot about a man who starts a religion from his back porch.... This could be a fun summer show if it were played with real people (not celebrities) for their own cash and prizes, and if the games themselves had hosts who were more in the traditional host mold. Of course, most of the original hosts are no longer with ... read more
