Anna Faris and Sadie Calvano

Just two seasons in, the CBS sitcom Mom has already tackled some not-immediately-funny issues, including alcoholism, gambling, homelessness, and cancer. Even star Anna Faris admits she was shocked when her character's teen daughter turned up pregnant in the second episode.

"I thought it was a joke," says the actress, who plays Christy, a young mother struggling with sobriety. "I couldn't believe that so early on we would go down that road. We put a lot of trust in our viewers."

Hawaii Five-0 Sneak Peek: Meet Gavin Rossdale's "Double-Crossing Jerk-Off Criminal"

Gavin Rossdale

Hawaii becomes the Island of Johnny Moreau on Friday's 100th episode of Hawaii Five-0: Bush singer Gavin Rossdale guest-stars as a new villain.

The bulk of the milestone hour is devoted to a "Sliding Doors" plot — in which McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) is kidnapped by Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos) and experiences what his life would have been like if his father, John McGarrett (William Sadler), had never died. Mega Buzz: The Castle Wedding, Five-0's 100th Episode, and an Orange Baby

Nathan Fillion, Alex O'Loughlin, Matt McGorry

Each week, executive editor Adam Bryant satisfies your need for TV scoop. Please send all questions to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.

What can you tell me about the Castle wedding? I can't wait! — Jenna
Owing to the complex story that precedes the nuptials — Castle experiences an alternate reality in which he's never met Beckett — the ceremony itself had to be scaled back considerably. "We came very close to doing the other version of the big wedding... and all the hoopla that's associated with that, and we knew that we didn't want to do quite the same thing," executive producer David Amann tells us. However, don't think that Castle's rush to the altar will scare Beckett — or make the moment any less magical. "[Beckett] doesn't necessarily know quite what has driven him to this point, but she's emotionally right there with him," Amann says. "It's a wonderful, wonderful moment, and we hope the fans share that view."

Can you give me any details on the 100th episode of Hawaii Five-0? — Brandon
As promised, the episode, which offers a glimpse of what McGarrett's life could have been without Five-0, (finally) gives some concrete answers about exactly how Wo Fat is connected to McGarrett and his mother.... read more
