Play begins today at the site of the last Open where they were both in contention, Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, N.Y. Tiger won that one by three strokes over Mickelson to claim the second of his three Open titles. As a matter of fact, Woods is sort of a double-defending champion in this event, having won last year at Torrey Pines, as well.
