"The hardest part of saying goodbye is having to do it again every single day." The death of Quentin Fields has impacted the lives of all our resident Tree Hill friends and each are trying to cope the best they can while the memory of Q shows up all around them. This week's episode dealt with acceptance and moving forward whether it was with Nathan and his mom, the basketball team and Quentin or Brooke and her mother. For Jamie, the loss of his best friend has made him miss his Grandpa Dan even more. In a week moment, Haley feels for him and takes her son to see him at the beach house. Luckily he's not there but when it's obvious he's been gone for awhile Haley actually starts to worry about him.
Nathan doesn't want to accept the fact that his mom and best friend are hooking up so he kicks Nanny Deb out of the house. When she goes to talk to Skillz about it and break it off, he offers his place to her and wants her to stay. Deb declines and chooses to keep her family strong leaving Skillz a little broken hearted. As ridiculous as their relationship seems I really want it to work out for them. And at least Lucas seems to make light of the situation by telling Nate, "all those years we called him Skillz, I always thought it was because of basketball." He also jokingly mentioned that Skillz would probably be a better father than Dan ever was and sad enough it's true.
Brooke is finally dealing with the attack and has gone to a therapist. In her session not only does she reveal that she's sure her mom was behind the robbery, but that she wouldn't mind if Victoria were dead and in fact she'd be better for it. Brooke also decides it's time to pay her a visit. She confronts Victoria about the attack and her mom actually seems concerned, well for a moment. Victoria then sheds a little light on Brooke's past by telling her that her father cheated on her as soon as she got pregnant and only wanted a boy. From then on Victoria would never have another child so as to not give him his dream. In the midst of this she took it out on her daughter and gave her no love. Brooke then realized that none of her neglected upbringing was her fault and told Victoria she could have her dream of having a company and no daughter.
While Dan seems MIA this episode Carrie sure isn't. First she shows up in the park talking to Deb and then she somehow gets into the Scott house and Jamie's room. She creepily walks around and it's only a matter of time before she wreaks more havoc on the Scott family.
Meanwhile, a legend in Peyton's eyes, Nick Wolf, comes to her studio to do more than record. Turns out he knew her mom Ellie and is able to answer some questions about her father. He tells her that their romance was one of the all time greats which also made it a bit messy. But there's something mysterious about this man that makes Peyton and myself wonder if he may actually be her father. What do you think? And speaking of mysterious, when are we going to learn more about Samantha since she keeps coming around?
